DUEL’s new squid jig, named Mag Q, will impress you with its innovations and its performance, both in maximum casting and in attracting suspicious squid. With the DUEL Mag Q Tungsten you will be able to reach very far points and fish for squid in inaccessible distant places, as the casting distance is over 70 meters for size 3.5 and over 60 meters for size 3.0. The Mag Q Tungsten squid lure has been built based on the “Tungsten X Magnet” mechanism which shifts the center of gravity of the lure. The DUEL Mag Q Tungsten include three tungsten balls, which move freely inside the body. When all three are located in the front of the inner chamber, an extremely strong magnet holds them in place and keeps the center of gravity of the lure low and closer to the middle of the body.
During the shot, the balls move to the back of the chamber and help the squid jig achieve greater shooting distance and stability while in the air. The impact of the bait on the water will automatically move the balls to their front and stable position. The magnet has a high holding force and allows the squid jig to respond to the retrieval technique, jerks, and darting movements, without the tungsten balls moving from their position. Other technologies include the Patapata wings. Made of soft silicone, the slightest current will make the wings vibrate, creating an intense attraction, which easily activates the predatory instincts of the squid in the area. The claws installed by DUEL drastically reduce losses from natural obstacles, as they have moderate elasticity, resulting in a high release rate of the squid jig. Their base also emits an extremely attractive, bright color.
The color scheme available for the squid jig is not at all random. There are recommendations for which color is most effective depending on the prevailing conditions. More specifically:
- LFM Will make inactive squid in the deep more likely to attack
- LYYR Recommended for night use in places with low light
- SBBL The strongest suggestion for night fishing
- SBTP Recommended for night use in places with good light
- KVMM This is a mix of colors that gets us out of a difficult situation when we are not sure about the conditions and the choice of color
- KVRP Designed to excite mainly the larger sizes of the species
- KVMO Recommended for night use in places with low light or a weak moon
- KVSB Recommended for clear waters and scared squid
- KVVP A great choice for daytime fishing
- NLM For very murky waters
- NRDR For fishing during the day when the sky is cloudy
- NRBW Suitable for clear waters
